As men of faith, we are often called to put the needs and desires of other ahead of our own. Unfortunately, the way this often plays out is at the expense of our health. We put our families, jobs, church and community leadership positions ahead of our physical well being.
I get it.
As a man of faith, as a believer in Christ Jesus, I have lived this struggle. What we often lose sight of is that our health, our bodies, are gifts from God. And as such, it is our duty, our job to be good stewards of that gift.
The good news is that you don't have to live in the gym or go to extremes with your diet in order to be healthy and strong. You just have to get started.
As a younger man, my motivation to workout was to get as big and strong as I could.
As a husband and father over the age of 40, my motivation is very different. Sure I still want to be strong and it doesn't hurt if my wife likes the way I look.
But the reason I train now, the reason I pay attention to my diet and work to keep my weight in a healthy range, is my family. I want to be there for my wife and daughters.
I want to be able to take my youngest to the playground and chase her. I want to be able to get down on the floor and play with her. I want to be physically capable of whatever it is my wife needs. Whether it's unloading a pallet of pellets for the pellet stove, climbing on the roof to put on Christmas lights, or physically defending my home, I want to be ready.
I want to be healthy enough to answer the call whenever they need me. And I know you do too. Making sure you're at a healthy weight is the first step.
I've spent the last 27 years working with clients to help them become healthier, stronger and more fit.
In that time, I learned that it's not enough to tell folks what to do. That formula is relatively simple. It's the following through that's tough.
It's the doing that's tough.
And once you understand that, you can actually begin the work to make real change, lasting change. And I'll walk with you every step of the way. You've got this!
The 12 Week Trinity Fitness Program will teach you all of the fundamentals you need to lose body fat, become more athletic and move without pain. You'll be stronger physically and mentally.
